Mark has more than 20 years in engineering, operations, and business development experience at Preco. He championed embedding data acquisition systems to the company’s process capabilities and analysis in the earliest days of micro-perforation. As the Director of Applications Engineering and Contract Manufacturing Sales, he continues to drive new technologies and business opportunities. Mark has degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Marketing from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Craig is involved in the sales activities for metal processes, with an emphasis on the advanced energy storage/generation industries. He has been with Preco since 2001 and has over 30 years of experience in the industrial metals manufacturing industry, with 15 years as a small business owner/operator.
Joel is responsible for developing and building relationships for key accounts. He has over 35 years of experience in the converting industry both in previous ownership and sales roles utilizing laser and die cutting technology. His goal is to work with customers to provide the most effective converting solutions by coordinating Preco application engineering along with optimal Preco converting equipment. His consultative sales approach involves working with customers on conceptual projects which can evolve into eventual converting production runs.
David is focused on technical business development of programs, and products, in the areas of industrial laser materials processing and advanced manufacturing equipment. Specific process experience includes; welding, cutting, heat treating, 3D additive, drilling and surface modification. He began his career at Preco in 1985 and has more than 30 years experience in the industrial laser market and holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and a Business Administration degree. Areas of business market experience include: global industrial and educational institutions, focused on laser based manufacturing in the energy, heavy equipment, aerospace, automotive, medical and defense market space.
Joel DeKock, Ph.D., is active in the development of new or novel processes using lasers to process materials. He received his Doctorate in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994, and Bachelorette Degrees in Metallurgical Engineering (Iowa State University, 1987) and Industrial Technology (University of Northern Iowa, 1982). Joel has been employed at Preco, Inc. since 1996. Prior to coming to PLS Joel has worked as a Research Associate, a Foundry Process Engineer and is a member of ASM, TMS, AWS, SME and LIA.
Todd brings over 22 years of engineering and manufacturing experience. Working with electronics, medical, automotive, powersports and military markets allows great knowledge in many areas to recommend correct laser applications to customers. He has a B.S. degree in Manufacturing Engineering from UW-Stout. Todd is the Sales Manager for the Metals portion of Preco.
Luke joined Preco as a sales engineer in 2016 assisting in inside sales, business development projects, and marketing related projects. Luke completed his Industrial Engineering BS from the University of Missouri in 2013. Prior work experience includes sales engineer for an industrial automation and safety distributor and a co-op at Harley-Davidson.
Darren has the sales responsibility for the lower Midwest and provides innovative and cost effective die cutting solutions for Preco’s customers. He was hired in 2006 with over 25 years in the manufacture of printed circuit boards, membrane switches and graphic overlays.
Ken Cavicchi, started his career in 1978 building hydraulic press systems. In 1998 Ken joined Preco, Inc., in sales and has held several roles in the company since. Ken brings over 30 years of industry experience and a breadth of knowledge on overall Preco capabilities and offerings and is well respected in the industry.
Salvatore, an experienced multilingual European Director with more than 20 years commercial international experience within industrial, electronics, packaging and banking services. Salvatore joined the Preco staff in 2015 and is responsible for sales activities in Europe, Eastern Asia and Russia.
Volker, a certified Electrical Engineer, has over 20 years experience in die cutting and material handling processes and 10 years in laser based systems. He is responsible for Preco’s sales and technical support in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Scandinavia and service support throughout Europe.
